The Bergen County USBC was first chartered in 1939 under the name Bergen County Men's Bowling Association through our Parent company (A.B.C. - the American Bowling Congress). The Association had approximately 24 Board Members servicing over 16,000 bowlers and 42 centers in Bergen County New Jersey. Since its inception it has produced many great Amateur and Professional Champions, like Junie Mcmahon, Teata Semiz, and great renown Bowling Sports writers such as Chuck Pezzano and Dan McDonough. All the great ones have bowled in Bergen County at one time or another. Great ones like Dick Weber, Parker Bohn, Norm Duke and Ryan Schaffer to name a few. Our centers have also been seen in several movies and television shows: "Random Hearts" starring Harrison Ford, "The Cake Boss" with Buddy Valestro and "Mercy" - Channel 4 NY Series.

In 2006 under the guidance of our newly merged parent Company USBC (The United States Bowling Congress), we were granted a charter forming "The Bergen County USBC BA" and is considered as one of the best Bowling Associations in the State of New Jersey. We strive to keep bowling an active and fun sport to our bowlers. We do this by providing competitive tournaments throughout the year, provide and guarantee awards for our bowlers accomplishments and make sure that their scores are being sanctioned by our parent company "The USBC". We also have top notch Coaching programs for our Youth. Our coaches are USBC certified which produce championship level results.

On August 1st, 2018 a new Bergen County Charter was born.  It was the merger between the Bergen County USBC BA & the Bergen County USBC WBA to officially form the Bergen County USBC.  With this new merger comes an exciting new time for both organizations to work as one.  In over 100 years of bowling, there has never been an organization combining the Men and the women together.

Upon the start of the new charter, the Bergen County USBC has moved from Riveredge NJ to Hackensack NJ.
